About the journal

The journal Plodorodie was founded in 2001.

Its founder is the Pryanishnikov All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Agrochemistry (VNII Agrokhimii)

The editor-in chief − Viktor Gavrilovich Sychev, director of the Pryanishnikov All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Agrochemistry (VNII Agrokhimii), Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, full professor, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences.

The edition was registered by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Affairs of the Press, Certificate PI 77-7608 issued on 26 March 2001.

In 2000, the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles included Plodorodie in the list of editions recommended for publishing materials of doctoral degree theses.

Plodorodie has ISSN 1994-8603 and is distributed by subscription. Its subscription index in the catalogue of the Rospechat agency is 82223. The journal is a bi-monthly publication. Its volume is 6−7 conventional printed sheets.            

The journal is included in the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) since 2009. Full texts of the articles are available on the site of eLIBRARY.RU: http://elibrary.ru.

The journal issues are mandatorily delivered to the Russian Book Chamber, Department of the Information Telegraph Agency of Russia (ITAR-TASS).

 The main themes of the journal include the informational support of the reproduction of agricultural land fertility: normative documents, advertising and publicity of scientific and practical achievements, and exchange of experience in increasing soil fertility.

The journal publishes articles of prominent experts in the fields of agrochemistry, soil science, ecology, agronomy, and land reclamation.

Plodorodie is one of the leading theoretical and practical peer-reviewed editions reflecting investigations in the field of agricultural sciences. It publishes the results of agroecological land monitoring; experimental and theoretical research of scientists specialized in agrochemistry, soil science, agroecology, and land reclamation; practical implementation of new technologies; advanced experience in agriculture; and post-graduate studies.

The journal regularly informs its readers about significant conferences and workshops.

Plodorodie has a high readership: these are famous scientists from the Russian Academy of Sciences and higher education institutions, as well as specialists from 112 centers and stations of the Russian agrochemical service and different enterprises, practitioners, and individual subscribers.

The journal is also distributed in the CIS countries (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine) and Baltic countries.

The editorial board of the journal includes leading specialists in agronomy, agrochemistry, ecology, and related sciences.

Manuscripts for publication are drawn in accordance with the corresponding Russian and international standards.
